The goal of this project was to try and grasp the feelings that someone experiencing Alzheimer's disease goes through. The feelings of slowly slipping into someone who is unfamiliar. I wrote the poem trying to place myself into their shoes and created the illustrations through the medium of woodcut. The final spread being the most literal. The house print was created using a reduction style print technique that results in the chipping away of the original block. More and more of the block is removed as the prints continue, never to be able to recreate the original print, it is now only visible through images.
